Located in one of the world's most remote regions, Nerv Headquarters stands to equip us humans with as much knowledge concerning the "Angels" as we can get our hands on. With political tensions on the rise, the higher ups felt it best to conduct "other" scientific research elsewhere. With enough supplies to be self-sufficient, they can last for up to 18 months without any outside assistance.

"Bob" is back in his upscale studio apartment, this time accompanied by a neighbor, "Steve". "Steve" doesn't seem to have the same craving for flesh as "Bob", unfortunately for him though, humans hate weeds almost as much as we hate other creepy things. With his constant streaming, the weeds grew out of hand, and thus "Steve" joined the research team.
