[WOTC] Ready Up -OBSOLETE-

Description
A rebuild of /dev/null's Ready Up

Ready Up is a 1AP ability that does not end the turn, for every use, the unit gains +10 aim for next attack.
This bonus may stack up to +20 aim with repeated use, and is removed by moving, attacking or getting hit.

I've removed some options which were not enabled by default, and have added some configuration options which control when the aim bonus gets removed, check out the configuration ini.

I recommend the use of Stances over this mod.

Various games have toggle-able abilities that have a cos over time mechanics. The mutually-exclusive nature occurs in some Pillars of Eternity modals, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the reply, Stances look, interesting, is that based off another game's mechanics? I use this cause of Steady Aim from Long War.

You can still use this, but the Stances mod is the successor, though it works differently.

If this is obsolete then what is the recommended updated version to this?

I just completed a WOTC campaign with 104 mods including this one. It all went well.

this mod dose work with WOTC for guns, not for rockets though.You can edit how much aim it gives in the ini file, eg instead of +10 you could make +5, giving a total of +10 over 2 AP.

I tried to steady a rocket (using the LW gauntlet now included in RPGO) with this but it doesn't reduce scatter. It makes it considerably worse. Using a Ready Up increased scatter from something like 1.55 tiles to 3.55. I don't expect that this mod will see any updates at this point, so this is more of a PSA for others who might be hoping to reduce rocket scatter with this ability. It's not gonna work. In all other cases though, this is a fantastic mod!

@p6kocka:
Only by editing the code; and it's been ~5 months since your last request without that being responded to so I think it's safe to assume this mod is remaining "as is" for the foreseeable future.
