"Warriors, Hunters! The Spider goddess has spoken, these thieves and demon friends, must not to spoil her sanctuary; Remember our oaths, our ancestors. For the Clan! For the Blood!" - Aratrok, Chief and Shaman of the Red Skull Clan.

Back-Story for those who are interested
The Temple of the Spider is an Ancient ruins made by the Servants of Asha, the Dragon of Order - set upon a heavily Mountainous, Cavernous, Desert island of an unknown geographical name in the fictional world of Ashan, specifically most likely around the Pao Islands, typically mentioned as the "Temple Isle" as shown on a crude map of Ashan, The island is notable as it has a population of Orcs and Goblins, which have a lasting rivalry between the two. The Orcish inhabitants of the island form a large nomadic tribe known as the ''Red Skull Clan'' and were brought there by their shaman who had sensed the power of the Spider goddess, erecting a permanent settlement consisting of vast tunnels, cracking through the mountainsides and making use of their constructions on the daunting cliffs of the Isle. The Goblins use what's left of the ancient ruins and have no mentioned storyline of how they found the Isle, one possible theory suggests that they were the original natives to the island. The Island is also notable for it's extreme infestation of Giant spiders, afterall - It is the Temple of the Spider afterall.

Wow, this map was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pain to get right - But anyway this map is the very iconic first stage of Chapter 5: Temple of the Spider from Dark Messiah: Might and Magic (2006). I'd like to say i'm the first person to properly extract a map from that game and put it upon the Workshop for everyone to play! However I did have to tweak a few elements of the original map, mainly because I had to decrease file size and or certain models for some odd reason did not even show up in the game, leaving the model itself invisible but still having collision elements to it. This Map was a pain, took trail and error to assemble all the custom materials and models into one file without things failing on me and messing up the map.

I had to delete many aspects of the Original map, and tweak many areas, so the map isn't a 100% accurate in it's state - Keep that in mind please.
The Map file name is called gm_templeofthespider

Tweaked areas.
99% Custom Materials (Used HL2 Textures for a certain area)
100% Custom Models
Underground area
Functioning Rope to get out of said underground area

Requirements
YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE MATERIALS PACK FOR STUFF TO WORK PROPERLY
I used an EPISODE 2 .fgd to help me out with this, so it may require EPISODE 2

That´s great to hear, especially if those maps would involve the spider pit, since I can imagine it can be used for some really wicked battles in GMod as it can be in the actual game. You have my support both as a mapmaker and as a fellow Dark Messiah player, if you have the game as well. :D

Reason why I haven't been expanding on the Dark Messiah maps is because it was my first time implementing content from another game. However, in the near future I actually plan to merge the Nar-Heresh Maps into one since I know how to implement and get things working.

Great job with the map, missing map props or not (since I˙ve checked and boy, some parts of the scenery are actually separate props like the "arm" runestones beside the giant runestone "eye", usually with the "spider" moniker). Hopefully some others would be able to be recreated like that, like those personal favorites of mine:

-> Orc cliffs (a bit later in chapter 5)
-> Area where you start Fire in the Blood chapter (7)
-> One of catacombs, your choice which one, be it from Chapter 1, 6 or 10.
-> Cave area where you get to meet and free Urog if you so wish (which is actually the one right before the Giant Worm partM chapter 7)

The ones that get squished are ragdolls, and the ones at the beginning are from the actual game.
