Remember to make all the doors big if you ever plan to use vampires in your future maps.
(Right click on any door, click Y-Scale, then click Normal, Large (1.2) or just use the mansion doors. Looking forward on playing your future maps.
First of all, the attention to detail is fantastic. I love how you filled up areas that the player won't even care about. Namely the 3rd floor of the first building where the zombies blocked the elevator, the electric fence, the bottle room, and the inaccessible junk in the second building.
I especially liked how you used soft white wall for the Roland's bathroom as opposed to actual bathroom wall. The english "hooligan talk" of the zombie is a nice touch too.
As for the actual gameplay, the way you split the level into "sections" Clear 1st Building,
Destroy Bottles, Kill Roland, Burn Ash is really cool. It makes the player feel as if they're actually making progress and that they have an organized plan of attack.
Seriously, good job. Keep up the good work
The elevator is only supposed to go up to the top floor, to ensure that people play through the whole building; the blocked off doors on the 2nd and 3rd floors are just there to make the building look more natural.
The 'thing' I assum you are talking about is supposed to be an electrified fence - I thought it something Roland would want around his house.
I'll try to fix the awkward cutscene at the end of the level.
Not sure if it's intended, but the elevator can access only the 1st and the 4th floor. It would be understandable under other circuimstances but there are elevator doors (one even has a trap) and all that.
Being able to jump from the balcony with the sniper rifle would be nice
Oh and what is that thing on the left side of the bridge? Just curious.
This is brilliant.
I mean, I did skip literally half the level by going straight to the bridge and using the Revenant but still. This looks so polished, so pretty, so planned out and with everything thought of.
Well, with the exception of the cutscene that plays after Roland dies, the Nightcrawler and Incubbi on the 1st floor could still be alive and go kick the player while he reads it. I had to immediately skip it cuz I don't wanna die :^)
Lookin' forward to more maps from ya. We need stuff like this.
