Era - 1970s / 1980s - NWA / WWF / AJPW

The elder of the Funk brothers, Dory Funk Jr. was one of the most influential wrestlers to ever come out of the Texas territory. An adept brawler, Funk was best known for his top notch technique, managing to hold the NWA World title for four years in the early 70s. Into the 80s, Dory would team with brother Terry, their team being a mainstay in All Japan and making a short run in the WWF, with Dory going by the name Hoss Funk.
