Cassandra: Neurax VS Bioweapon

Description
- This is an IndigoFenix scenario. Expect new mechanics. -

Sometimes, in order to conquer the world, you have to save it first...

Armed with cunning, foresight, and the ability to manipulate human thought, it's up to the most unlikely of heroes to protect humanity from its own deadliest creation.

It's Neurax vs Bioweapon in a fight for the fate of humanity!

---

This is a heavily plot-based scenario. It's basically a \"puzzle game\". Pay attention to the popups - if you try to play it like a normal plague, you'll lose!

Zombies have Z-Com and Vampires have Templars, but the Neurax Worm has always had it easy. This scenario will change all that.

You have about a year to prepare. Use it, because once the bioweapon shows up, it hits HARD. Fortunately, you have many tools to assist you...

---

Features:

Real fake multiplayer action. Yes, the weapon actually spreads out across the map and can be blocked off by closing ports! If you plan ahead, you might be able to cut it off...

An in-depth plot with multiple story branches. Use syndromes to manipulate the actions of Patient Zero, with various in-game consequences. It may even be possible to gain humanity's worship without overriding their brains...

Several all-new abilities. Trigger OCD and paranoia to prevent disease, produce antibodies to fight it, dissolve into the brain to become harder to notice, or send warnings to humanity by creating hallucinations of a golden deity...

New uses for old abilities. Calm down (or speed up) a rebellion, confuse the scientists working on the bioweapon, help interrogate a terrorist, or sow chaos and bring down the evil corporation behind it all!

---

Programming this was a challenge, but I've had plenty of fun testing it. Every game is different, which should add to the replay value. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did :)

Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. Except for the mythological references. Those are deliberate.

I made a guide here for those having trouble. (Spoiler warning obviously).

Hi! Where can I find the files to edit this scenario?
I love the idea and I'd like to tinker with it!

Next best thing to the multiplayer... Actually, scratch that. This IS better than the multiplayer.

Probably the one where you evolve Divine Manifestation, stop both STYX and ERIS before the bioweapon is released, and then spread around the world without anyone realizing you can manipulate thoughts. This is very difficult to do and may be impossible, but you can try it!

What's the best ending for humans in which you still end up winning then?

Well in that case you still lose, so I wouldn't call that the "best" ending (except for humanity).

Is there a better ending than stopping Styx before they release the weapon and getting cured?

:plagueinc: This is amazing, I can tell there has been put a lot of work in this. This is a neurax worm scenario that tries and succeeds in giving hte Neurax worm a background story. My hat to you sir! :DSTtophat:
