Descendants

Description
A simple mod for keeping track of descendants, regardless of dynasty, legitimacy, or parental gender.
Inspired by Dorimi's "Your Own Bloodline" and similar mods: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245494214

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features:
• You may take the decision "Become Ancestor", which will give you the trait "[YourName]" and any existing descendants of your character the trait "Descendant of [YourName]". This is a one-time decision and cannot be undone!
• You can use the "Mark Descendants" targeted decision to give any living character the "Marked: [TheirName]" trait, and any of their descendants the "Marked: Descendant of [TheirName]" trait.
• Unmarking a character's descendants can be done by either marking a different character or by using the "Unmark Descendants of [TheirName]" decision.
• Any child born to a character with a descendant trait will also receive that trait. The traits are inherited both agnatically and enatically, meaning that children will inherit it without fail.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Incompatibilities:
• Ironman achievements.
• Multiplayer.

Possible Incompatibilities:
• Patches prior to 2.2.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brainstorming Possible Features:
• Add a special trait for the descendants of rhymes-with-dastards?
• Add the ability to re-do the "Become Ancestor" decision. This would require Paradox to allow adding/removing traits to dead characters, though?

@Seagull Cloaca

1. I want to thank you for the mod, I was looking for a mod like this for a long time.

Saying that, Is there a way to mark more then 1 character? I would try add it in, but I don't know how to mod.

Also if We could name the marked characters would be Great.
The reason I am asking is, I want to mark the bloodlines and then search for them, I know I can search for "marked" and it will show up in char finder as "marked: marked chars name ".

BUT It would be great to see "marked: Bloodline of X char" I am asking for this because, every time I want to see bloodlines, I have to go to ledger, then go to bloodline menu, then click X bloodline, then click on bloodline icon to see the descendents of that bloodline.

THIS mod will and IS making it easier, but I can mark only 1 person (Tried to mark second, but first marked char got his mark removed)

Is the decision connected to certain conditions or is it always visible?

In my game (I just started playing) I can't see it, but I am using a lot of mods, so it might just be that there is a conflict.

Hey Seagull..

Quick question, it is possible to do this with one character that you control) (e.g king of greece or whatever) and then a descendant (which you control) who has the kings descendant trait ,and has become byzantine/roman emperor and make him a ancestor of a new line, if you know what i mean...

so basically can you do this with one of your characters and then another 100 years later or so??

"Your own bloodlines" appears to also be filenamed as "decendants" so I personally had to uninstall that mod, then manually delete that mod's files, then install this mod to get it to work, just in case others were having the same issues.
