Feel free to ask as many questions in regards to this topic ase-aquatica-situation , we try to keep you as informed as possible!
🔹 Your ASE DevKit is also in the PRE-Aquatica state
You should be able to maintain and update mods for the PRE-Aquatica branch without issues, as long as you do not update your DevKit.
‼️ Important: Your mods will not work with the Aquatica branch but should function correctly for players using the PRE-Aquatica branch.
Currently, there is no DevKit update available, and we don’t have an ETA for one.
When an update is released, we strongly recommend NOT updating your DevKit.
➡️ Instead, if you have the storage space, consider creating a second DevKit installation. Updating your DevKit will prevent you from maintaining mods for the PRE-Aquatica branch.
For those able to work with a second installation: DO NOT update your existing mods!
Due to recent ASE events, we’re sharing an informational announcement to keep you updated.
As you’re likely aware, the latest game update has broken most mods—nearly all of them, in fact. From what we’ve identified, changes to the shader and memory systems have primarily affected mods with materials and textures, though other mods may also be impacted. Currently, no mods are expected to work properly with the Aquatica DLC.
As a temporary solution, the developers have provided a legacy branch of the game, which reverts to the pre-Aquatica state. This is a helpful step, but it comes with important considerations for you!
Allow us to explain as clearly as possible:
With two game branches now available, we’re dealing with two distinct versions of the game:
It could be a problem with the HUD, but I don't think so. I also don't think it's a RAM issue, since I have 32 GB.
I tried playing on The Island to test if the map was the problem — the game was much more stable with fewer crashes (maybe I just got lucky?).
Then I tried again on Crystal Isles, but the game crashed right after creating the character.
