i figured, and they were cheap, the one i saw a guy get, when he bought it for a transmission it has 3rd for forward, neutral, and reverse, no 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th 6th etc etc

yeah they've been around for a long time, they were cheap to make and were exempt from new safety regulations so they had no reason to stop for a long time
