A quick example on how to get smoother tram tracks by changing the Max Turn Angle and Max Build Angle settings.
Setting 90 degrees replicates monorail track placement, while a smaller value (like 10) allows for an elegant X intersection.

Personally, I've always hated how tram lines would connect each other regardless of the angle...

I used to controll the sharp tram turns with TM:PE and lines assignment, but it was difficult with two lane roads with tram tracks. Thanks a lot :D

This is interesting, I really hate those impossible tram turns too, really hope this setting can be changed in game real time, so I can decide how the intersection would look like depends on the route.
