Description
ELITE Fenrir Ausf.G-3

The ELITE Fenrir versions were only issued to the very best pilots, ACEs who proved themself already. You could never buy it, you had to earn it.
Its fighting capabilities are outstanding as well as its handling and overall usability. It also distinguishes it self from the usual Fenrir versions with a rare squadleaders only colorscheme as well as other major differences on the outside. The ELITE Fenrir is mainly the ship of choice for squadron leaders.

The ELITE Fenrir has eight sequenced rocketlauncher and four autoreloading machineguns as well as more thrusters and an additional gyroscope, improvements dont stop there though. Three cameras for enhanced zoom and accurate attacks as well as multiple integrated LCDs help any ACE to be always informed on the ships situation like speed, power and ammunition. The superstructure as well as more redundancy is fatally improving the first ELITE Fenrir compared to its predecessors and competitors.

As a squadronleader you always have to watch out for your wingman and you have to always be in charge of the situation thus the ELITE Fenrir is giving you all the tools to accomplish this goal, looking after your men is top priority.

It doesnt matter if you are invading a planet or attacking any kind of enemy position, the ELITE Fenrir will always be the right tool at your disposal. The ELITE version of the Fenrir is also survival friendly as well as easy to build and maintain during operation which is crucial to survial experienced players and their operations. During planetary flights the Fenrir is able to reach high ranges with the Eco-Thrust-Mode (ETM), since its only hydrogen powerd it still has huge range capabilties due to its seven oxygen generators and its huge but beautiful integrated hydrogentank. Five parachutes ensure safe landings in case of an empty hydrogentank.

Leaving a planets atmosphere is easy possible, while at the same time having powerful hydrogen engines at your disposal at any time anywhere. Beside all the additional features, the ships weight was critical. Every inch and block was analyzed and engineers were able to cut the weight as much as possible for its class and abilites. While at the same time the ships overal stats improved by a huge leap. The projector in the wing will make repairs and modifications easy. Also the antenna as well as the small reactors were moved to a different more suitable location. Gyroscopes were placed like before on different locations inside the ship.The entire thrusterpackage was reengineered to be as efficient as possible when it comes down to space and still later ELITE Fenrir variants were able to improve on the thrusterpackage even further.

There is no other ship around with so much engineering going on, getting the perfect allrounder in a beautiful all functional shape which only the very best Pilots deserve to fly in surival- or creativemode.

Now since the ELITE Fenrir Ausf.G-3 just recently popped up on the blackmarket, its available to ACEs all over the universe.

A hangar has to be 7x7x3 large (large grid). However it only uses a 2x7 entrance. Featuring a connector just two large grids centered away from the hangar rear wall.
The connector can be used to couple and decouple the figher as well as to refill energy, ammunition, ice and hydrogen.


Using ETM (Eco-Thrust-Mode)

The idea is simple, less Thrusters, less use of hydrogen. In fact this can double your range at the cost of handling and accelaration. Thats a fair trade when you are on an reconnaissance operation. So moving from one location to another with hydrogen thrusters and six oxygen generators packed with ice is giving a confident feeling with the Fenrir. Using ETM when your ship has reached max speed is probably the most clever way. Its doing nothing more then shutting down a couple of thrusters that are not necessary to hold the speed or to make small maneuvers.

Therefor make sure your thrusters are all active (5), if necessary accelarate to your desired speed, activate ETM by using (4) on Bar 1. To reactivate your thrusters just activate your thrusters again (5).

ETM works on all planets, the Fenrir can also leave a planets atmosphere with ETM at an 90° angle with all six oxygen generators processing ice. (Accelarate without ETM to be faster on cruise speed).

Remarks
  • When flying on a Planet, use it like a helicopter keep it in the air with "Spacebar", oxygen-Generators can feed the Thrusters without a problem
  • Deactivate dampners if you are experienced enough without using them, they waste energy
  • Make use of Eco-Thrust-Mode (ETM)
  • Flyingmodel in game is inefficient
  • Use your hydrogen tank as Reserve for landing if under 30%
  • Make casual stops to give your oxygen generators time to refill the tank if not all generators process ice
  • The Fenrir can easy leave a planet and land on a planet, it was made to enter, lead the attack and leave.
  • For permanent Planetary operations, convert the lifting Thruster package to atmospher-thrusters or wait for the ATMO-Edition or use above mentioned steps.

BUGS and FIXES

I had to reupload the model, sadly i uploaded the wrong model, it was a more amored prototyp that was way heavier than the original. However, I took the opportunty to fix some other things, besides the weight reduction from around 60000 to 56000, i also replaced the Battery with two small reactors and added five parachutes for safe landing in case of miscalculations with the hydrogen, i also took more use of the functions MMaster's scipt gives the player.

When I'm using it in dogfights i usually mix the ETM and the normal mode. I deactivate ETM when im making hard manouvers, then I activate ETM again. My flight time with mixing the mention modes do exceed 5mins by far. However the oxygen generators can still even without using ETM still refuel your thrusters after your hydrogen tank is empty, its just not 100% be able to catch up with the production. Therefor I plan to add another 2 oxygen generators to the plane, there would be still room for two more. Without ETM the hydrogen tank is empty after 41s doing extrem manouvers and pulling hard in space but afterwards your oxygen can still at least slightly keep up, or change to ETM, that will recharge the tank while flying as long as you have ice in all 7 oxygen generators.

Please note: I'm still not satisfied with the G3 myself, there might be a third fix coming. But I really wish more people would test it, so i can add to the fix modifications :steamhappy:

@DRA282 Thank you for your comment, im glad you like the G1 compared to the G1 the G3 has 2 more Gatlings and 4 more Rocketlaunchers so in total 4 Gatling Guns and 8 Rocketlaunchers compared to the 2 Gatling guns and 4 Rocketlaunchers on the G1, also the G3 has one more oxygen generator and one more gyroscope. Turning the ship is faster, more thrusters add weight though. The G3 mass is ~56000 compared to the G1s ~47000, im really stil trying to get the mass in the G3 down. Also the G3 has parachutes for atmospheric flying, just in case.

When using ETM at the G3 in space you are able to move your ship around without the Thrusters even touching your hydrogen tank. your flight time is basically limited to the amount of ice you have in Eco-Thrust-Mode. Without ETM the ship is draining the Hydrogentank depending on the complexity of your manouvers and the use of dampners.

does etm actually work that well though? and in a combat scenario against another player my dogfights lasted about three minutes. Would the hydrogen be able to last that long? Great ship though, I first got the fenrir g1 and loved it. Will I love this even more?

Use ETM, it will shutdown thruster to extend range.

load the oxygen gen's with ice switch the game to survival it blow's its hydrogen load in less then 20-30 seconds flat. when flying 3 axis lol it was super fast just to many thruster's my man.
