The mark II has been modified so much compared to the original that it could be debated its a complete different ship than the original, but the ressemblance is there, its still a siberian but with extended cargo capacity

the main improvements were all about fixing the problems in the original siberian hull, the lack of shields , speed and awful maneuvrability has all ben carefully studied and corrected, the siberian mk II find itself considerably more durable than its predecessor , boasting about shields that are near 10 times stronger than the original, the sides engines were replaced with much stronger and larger ones doubling the siberian's effective speed. the addition of brake thrusters on the side helps with deceleration and the addition of extra gyros improved the handling a bit, though with the addition of near twice as much cargo space, this increased agility remain mildly noticable due to the added mass.

The siberian mk II also had its hyperdrive expanded and its main reactor core has been entirely redone, one of the worst feature of the original hull was its lack of energy generation

The siberian Mk II remain a civilian transport ship but because of its performances in hostiles territories, military operations found it very reliable enough that discussions about a military version is underway
