Though I guess this might make for a fun side-project sometime this year, to have a rendition of the Fake Armistice campaign in HWRM... I'll keep this in mind. Especially as I did the integration work for the Hakaga model already back in 2018.

That Arena-thingy doesn't count, the story there was too lazy, plus - WingCom in 2D, REALLY ?? :/
According to WCCIC, there was another promising concept later cancelled :/ , don't atm. remember the name though - something where you'd have commanded a carrier in search of Steltek-relics... ( to gain an edge over the Nephilim, I'd guess... )
That's the game the series would need in my opinion...
Thought of doing a bit of it in X3TC, based on the MGMod, but my current mod-setup there is pretty jumpy already, and I hate the mission-code there ( scripts are fine though ) .
Can't run X4 on my current toaster... :/
As for the balancing, yeah, Gothri is way too OP as a torpedo bomber, while T-Bolt is a pretty unique unit against Kilrathi, allowing some really effective light raider capability when attacking convoys or refineries.
But it's your mod to balance, and I guess the cats having a TBolt-clone would have made some parts of the balancing too boring...
