Starship Enterprise X-1 (Post Columbia Tragedy)

After Enterprise and Columbia returned to Earth, they were given newer refinements in both defensive and offensive technologies. They both got a new, standardized deflector dish, and a new layer of Heavy Plating, which improved resistance to damage. Thsi plating covered the entirety of the bridge as well as other areas of the ship. Both ships were given new Dorsal and Ventral phase cannon mounts, as well as a heavy aft Fast Torpedo armament. In this guise, enterprise would continue on, eventually getting the new Warp Two engine only 4 months later, and recieving the new Warp Three engine only one year after that. It was realized however, that the newer Warp Four, and projected Warp Five engines would need a larger space to be installed in, and work was done to find a way to do this, launching the NX project in 2060.
