He wants us, you, to apply the projection onto our current alloy. It may be better to make it from scratch, but we won't be using the inferior stuff anymore, and we have tonnes of it lying around. Oh yeah, just imagine the continuity to be a zig-zag pattern. We had the liberty of cutting it up for you, but the alloy can deform if we cut it any smaller using our method, so I hope you like large chunks of metal.
