Doomsday series: Zombies

Description
Doomsday series: Zombies V 6.1

Now working with the newest version of the game.

I know there are a few zombie mods out there, so what makes this one so special? This mod has everything one could want from a zombie scenario.

First let’s begin with the zombies:

The horde is made with realism in mind. These zombies won’t use planes, tanks or ships. Instead of landing somewhere via ships, I’ve added a lot of events to simulate this behavior with unique decisions to go with it. Instead of gaining manpower instantly, they consume state population. So after a while many states won’t have any population left. The Zombies are also unable to build buildings. Last but not least, nations consider Zombies a global threat and won’t send them any volunteers or anything. The zombies will also delete any equipment they get from capitulated nations. They also have unique 3d models and sounds.

As zombies don’t have a government of some sorts they don’t have a focus tree. This is also to prevent them from improving relations.

The next big feature is ZCOM:

It is a nation focused on defeating the zombies. ZCOM comes with a unique focus tree with about 90 focuses. ZCOM has a very unique playstyle: It needs other nations to produce men/weapons, but it buffs every nation fighting the zombies. Here are a few key features for ZCOM:
• A completely unique focus tree with about 90 focuses and 3 different Paths: Help, Dominance and Colonial defense.
• Over 40 Events only dedicated to ZCOM
• 14 decisions
• A scripted gui for special weapons
• 15 unique ideas (with icons)
• Unique Portraits

Flavor:

The next part that is very unique for a zombie mod are flavor events and decisions for nations around the world. There are about 30 flavor events for various nations including Germany, Italy, India and Great Britain to name a few. Some even have a pretty big impact on the world around them.

The fourth big part of this mod are different rules:

There are for different types of rules:
• A completely new spawning system with three options:
o The normal spawn point in India
o A (somewhat) random state in the old world
o An Infection spawn as a Tribute to the now dead Infection mod.
• The possibility of changing the strength of the zombies at the beginning of the game from normal, hard, extreme and insane.
• The Path ZCOM should take for their focus tree.
• The possibility to deactivate the global alliance. Now you can choose between a global alliance and the normal alliances.

Play with both doomsday mods and 40 new foci for ZCom and 15 unique Events, which only happen if both mods are activated: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2220318569

Another big part of this mod is that it is compatible with any other mod on the workshop. I know, crazy. Please notice: Compatible doesn’t mean balanced or anything else. It just means this mod can be loaded with any other mod on the workshop. All mods except Kaiserreich worked without any problems.

We now have a discord: https://discord.gg/3PjAw5h

If you want a harder version of this mod, check out the ultra version: Link
It adds an even more challenging game play loop.

The Millennium Dawn submod is now out:

The redux version of the mod is now out: Link
It adds a more fight heavy version of the mod without the story elements.

Zombies do not spawn!

Hey, nice mod, though from my few runs I noticed a few things:
-Zombie related events still fire if you set the spawndate to later.
-World tension spikes to 100% instantly even if you set the spawndate to later (I don't know if this is intentional)
-I messed around a bit, and I noticed that if the RAJ tag doesn't own the zombies starting province, the zombies won't spawn at all.

You should add something like zombie brutes and abominations.

@Redhand_Jedi: That sounds like a bug. Maybe the script is not correctly executed.
So there are not 37 Million zombies when you do insane + Infection spawn?

@Author: Can you explain "Infection spawn" better under "Zombie spawn rules" ? I think I like it best since it spreads out the Zombie virus more though I think it could use one more spawn site in Asia somewhere but it doesn't appear to be effected by the Zombie difficulty setting which is weird.

In other games when I set the Zombie difficulty to insane (37 million zombies!), the zombies begin to practically take over the planet but not with Infection spawn. ??? What is going on there?

@ Derailer: Mine always spawns exactly according to the rules I set. If they aren't then something is wrong. The rules are either either normal (immediately), in one year, or three years and under "Time until Zombies Spawn."

You adjust the settings at the beginning of the game when you click "Custom Game Rules." This setting is literally before you start the game and when you are selecting the difficulty of the game (i.e. civilian, regular, elite, etc.)

I hope this helps

When and where do the zombies spawn ? its already 1940

I have been playing it for days now and I have had no problems. I have been enjoying it a lot. I have been searching for a sweet spot of settings so I have been playing with a number of different options while relearning the game again after first playing HOI4 when it first came out when it had NO DLCs , haha. So again, no problems for me.

I will admit that this is the only mod I am running so perhaps that is the difference but I have no problems.

how to fight vs zombies when they have so much org

@Redhand_Jedi: I don't know why people are writing here that the game doesn't work. I just started it 30 min ago and let it run. No crashes. It should work as expected.

So if you have no mods, only official DLCs, does this one mod work then? It seems like there are conflicting comments here...
