Escort Carrier

NO MODS, survival ready

The core of this multi-purpose escort carrier is a medium hangar bay with berthing for 6 fighters, shuttles, or attack craft. 4 primary berths include both a dorsal and ventral connection and the 2 ceiling racks include only a dorsal connection. Connectors can be removed to fit DS-73C/D shuttles or modified for special ships. The hangar is designed to be pressurized continuously and has two 5x6x4 ship airlocks for launching and recovering craft, connected by a taxi channel. The channel also contains 2 auxiliary fighter/shuttle pads that increase total internal fighter capacity to 8 but parked craft in the channel block access to the airlocks. Therefore, they're designed to stage 'alert' fighters that will be launched first or for temporary parking (i.e., for a shuttle exchanging supplies).

On the dorsal side are three pads that can service most fighters or larger shuttlecraft and even some small gunboats, bringing total docked ship capacity to 11. Fore of the primary shuttlepad is an access hatch to the hangar's machine shop, where drop containers, pods, torpedoes, and other modular devices can be constructed and attached to craft. Included are a connected welder and industrial tug. Anti-ship armament is light and anti-fighter armament is moderate, the carrier depends on its own craft or escort ships for protection.

A cool design, also I like the continuously pressurized hangar bay and the large airocks. The entire hangar loks very spacious unlike most other carrier designs. Definitely cool!

Nice ship with a nice design but not quite survival ready. The thrusters will melt eachother (yay Keen).

Very nice! Friendly tip though, you can disable the crosshair in the game options for better screenshots :)

looks very nice, thought at the first glance it could be one of aragaths designs.

one thing though, connector only docking ports? isn't that a bit dangerous with clang in mind?
