Starship Enterprise NCC-001 (Battle of Sector 098)

During the Romulan War, Enterprise was called away for an emergency that was the result of the starship Reliance being hijacked by aliens of enormous intelligence and strength, however they were neither diciplined enough nor willing to use telepathy as warfare. Enterprise, believing Reliance as still under Federation control, was heavily damaged in the encounter, having her main engineering section breached, main power put offline for several days, and many hull breaches from torpedo impacts and phase cannon fire. However, the Reliance was eventually destroyed, with all of the aliens killedin the resulting battle. She was directed to Earth for her major repairs, however by the time she was recieved, many of the hull breaches were sealed, however many of her interior modules were still damaged. Enterprise would be repaired within three months, and sent back out into the fight. This tragedy cost the lives of 23 crew members, many were on board as on hand trainees, since the mission was of a low priority and the need for new personel was high.
