Era - 1980s - NWA

One of the rising stars of the NWA in the mid 1980s, Magnum T.A. would raise the prestige of the United States title with a number of significant feuds. Taking on Tully Blanchard in a rivalry that would culminate in a legendary I Quit match inside a steel cage, one of the most brutal matches of the era. Magnum also feuded with Nikita Koloff, and the two engaged in a best of seven series for the title.

Magnum's natural charisma, powerful punches and quality technical skill would position him towards an inevitable run at the NWA Heavyweight title, were it not for a tragic car accident.
