Description

Remember that old beta drone replacement that got taken down? Now here's another one, and its even better.

Features:
-Full animations, including climb, leap and unburrow
-Cool eye glow on drones
-Some custom animations too! Including an improved idle
-Semi-beta styled Ranger
-Beta Styled Mortarbug

In Progress:
-Bug fixes
-DIfferent skin types
-A model replacement for the Ranger, that adds the extra limbs and textures

Known Bugs:
-A recent one. Drones are invisible and crash the game. This was an EXTREMELY primitive bug that happened before this was even released due to model compiling errors. I will reformat the .qc and recompile it using ASW's tools instead. Fixes will come in a week when I have the time. For now, I need to dedicate these few days to something important.

no point updating. you're better off subscribing to this one, which is far better.

So I just tested it out of curiosity and this mod works well enough with this cvar: asw_new_drone 0. Sadly, this means that the new animations in this addon don't play and they just kind of poof into existence but it does stop the crashing and invisibility from what I've gathered so far.

So...how's it goin? I did sub to this addon like 4 months ago and then unsub, after it crashed my game. Was there any progress made to fix this bug?

I just got a new laptop, so I'll have to port the files over, install Alien swarm and check my settings.

Could be a texture inconsistency? What's your texture quality settings at?
