Era - 1980s - NWA / WWF

One of the foundational members of the Original Four Horsemen, Tully Blanchard brought a consistent brand of toughness to the group. A graduate of West Texas State University like so many other notable wrestlers of the era, Blanchard was adept on the mat, and even more so in a straight up brawl. His run with the US championship brought about one of the great matches of all time, a brutal I Quit match inside a steel cage against Magnum T.A.

Blanchard's tag team with Arn Anderson carried over into the WWF, where they teamed under the tutilage of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan as the Brainbusters, winning tag gold earlier in the NWA and defeating Demolition to do so in the WWF.
