Description
Emergency Shuttle

This small craft has 3 standout features which raises the bar:

Fits through a single hangar door

Can enter and leave all atmospheres, 'alien', 'earthlike', Mars, moons etc.

On a single charge, this shuttle can land on and escape the gravity well of a planet twice, and include additional flight time.

Uses Blargh's script to use much less energy when escaping atmosphere.

While Barthos Industries can provide single seat one way drop pods, we have also produced this ship for better chances at survivability should the worst happen.

From making the shuttle so light, this means a single battery can allow the shuttle to drop into atmosphere and land at an appropriate dropsite. When a rescue ship arrives, it doesn't need to be equipped with an atmospheric craft - you'll be able to fly into orbit with the shuttle.

The addition of a small nuclear charger allows uranium to be loaded, and recharge the battery if extended range is needed. The ship fits within a 2Wx1Hx2L space.

A small container is located at the rear of the ship, for supplies (we recommend preloading any emergency craft with preselected supplies) and a beacon.

**Update**

Replaced antenna with beacon, as it's lighter and can give a longer range for signalling.

Moved around reactor and SCC.

*****

Note: This is not a dedicated scout, and while it can be used as single person transport both to and from planets, the single battery allows minimal planet flight time in this scenario. Lacking side and reverse atmospheric thrust, inexpirenced pliots should take care when on planets. For a dedicated scout, see the Chattle Mk4.

Yep I tested it yesterday, still working on the alien planet :)

I will definitly use it and just add a programmable block for AutoLCD and have some info on the cockpit LCDs ;)

Thanks Marc, though it's quite old now I'd best check everything still works as it should.
