Ataq H3lic0pt3r

Description
Probably the most stable non-hoverbug helicopter you'll ever find.

This Hawkeye Helicopter is protected by a single Hex shield, yet it can sucessfully survive around 10 Megaton shots. It also comes equipped with several weapons appropriate for medium-altitude stationary assault. Replace any of the attached weapons with whatever you need, it won't disrupt the balance as long as they are about the same weight.

It has a top speed of around 60 while also being able to stay at about the same altitude whilst moving forwards. This is quite awesome, as normal helicopters (ones not using wings) would traditionally fly straight up and be unable to stop themselves lest the controller release shift, which would normally cause an unstoppable plumet towards the ground.

And I have solved both of these problems.

To stop the fall of doom, simply press space and fire your weapons along with holding shift. The recoil will completely stop you within at least 3 seconds (depending on your downwards velocity it may be more or less).

The stability of the Helicopter comes from several hours of tweaking the design to be opimally weighted and have the Venture turning hovers to work properly. It also uses a few Bub Spoilers to help keep the altitude down at high speeds. To climb mountains, simply release W for a few seconds and let it gain altitude, then continue your trek.

Feel free to use my design techniques in your own craft.

*depending on which version of TerraTech you are using, the Ataq H3lic0pt3r may not be as stable as stated*

And I'm sitting there wondering how to fly correctly using wings.

In order to get it in game, you have to press the "load tech" button in the creative or R&D mode. You can then select the steam tab on top, which will show all the steam items you've selected. In order to get it in survival mode, you need to take a snapshot of the item in the Creative or R&D and save it to your own files.

Hope this helps!

It uses spoilers on the wings, which uses it's forward momentum to counterbalance the upwards thrust making it so it won't rocket up into the stratosphere whenever you are moving forwards.
