"Beat me if you can! Survive if I let you." One of ECW's cornerstone performers, Taz truly came into his own in 1996, refocusing after a neck injury and displaying some of the most brutal suplexes in wrestling history. His vast array of "Tazplexes" and the Katahajime submission would allow him to run through a series of opponents. Taz would have a long, heated feud with Sabu, and also would go head to head with the dangerous Bam Bam Bigelow.

In 1999, Taz went to the WWF, added an extra "z" at the end of his name, and made a clear statement, debuting with a win over the then-undefeated Kurt Angle, going toe to toe with the World Champion Triple H and would play a role in the WCW/ECW Invasion.
