Integrated Lightsaber Hilts

Description
This mod includes 9 different hilt styles for each type of lightsaber (single, double, and short). They are available in all colors, and you will need an existing lightsaber hilt to change.

How it works:
The screenshots show a step by step process. First, you'll want to remove the upgrades and crystals in the lightsaber hilts you want to change or they will get lost (really no way around this). Open up the lightsaber bin, beside the bench, and click switch to give items. Scroll and select the lightsabers you want to change. Next, click the lightsaber bench and hit continue. Click the style you want, and when it's done and all lightsabers have been changed, the new ones will be in your inventory!

Extra:
Also includes a mod I made a while ago that toggles headgear visibility on and off. It works more or less the same. Located opposite of the lightsaber bench.

Compatability:
Should work with TSLRCM, but it is not going to be friendly with other lightsaber and crystal mods.

Thanks to Kaiden_Jorn, Kaiden_Jorn, and Kaiden_Jorn for making all of the lightsaber hilts and allowing public use:

"All my mods here on Deadlystream are all now up for grabs. Change them, fix them, do what you want. You do not need my permission nor consent and you may rerelease it whereever/however you like. I do however, expect to be credited as the original author in the readme. I wont be around to see it, so it wont bother me at all, lol."

********You'll need to enable lightsaber textures by editing an .ini file! *******
1.) Go to your install directory of kotor 2 once again and open up swkotor2.ini with notepad. The
path should look like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\swkotor2.ini
2.) Find the line
DisableVertex BufferObjects=1 and change it (just add the spaces) to
Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
3.) You should be good to go.

*When you change the color of the lightsaber through the workbench, the hilt will most likely change as well. Just go back the the hilt bench and change it back to the model you had previously. That's just how the game handles lightsabers, and there's nothing anybody can do about this unfortunately.

*There shouldn't be any more install issues anymore.

This mod needs to be fixed or removed!

This lightsaber hilt mod for Star Wars offers an exciting concept but is marred by significant bugs that severely impact the gameplay experience.

One major issue is getting stuck in the Ebon Hawk after defeating the Red Eclipse. The only way to fix this is by reloading an earlier save, turning off the mod, completing the quest, and then reactivating the mod. Even using save editors and commands didn't resolve this problem.

Additionally, changing the hilt of the lightsaber results in severe color mismatches. For example, a purple lightsaber turns cyan, cyan becomes red, and red shifts to green. This color swapping disrupts the game's immersion and visual consistency.

While the idea behind the mod is intriguing, the execution is flawed. The bugs, particularly the game-breaking one, make it difficult to recommend. If you decide to use this mod, be prepared for potential frustration and frequent save management.

********WARNING DO NOT USE THIS MOD WITH TSLRCM********

Don't recommend. The crystal color is tied to the hilt design as in the original file. When changing the hilt you add a new item file. The new item is a new crystal named the same as the color you choose. After creating one of each hilt design using 'green crystals' I went to a workbench and replaced them with a regular green crystal. The modded green crystals didn't stack (with the 8 quantity I had left) and showed as a separate item. One time I traded it with Keria and the ligh-saber crystal somehow changed. The color was the modded green but was blue like my characters light-saber. Odd...maybe it was conflicting with a mod "Light-sabers on Peragus" or something like that?

From reading other complaints I don't see how this mod can cause such a variance of bugs. But, a mod like this usually can mess up inventory.

Do not use this mod if you have TSLCRM whatsoever. I played 12 hours into a save (including Peragus since it was my first time playing in a long while), got to Nar Shadda, encountered the Red Eclipse & Handmaiden was completely locked out- totally unaware of this mods issues.

Even tused KSE and altering the .ini to try and fix this, no luck at all. To add, trying to leave the Ebon Hawk after the encounter leaves you not being able to leave, which you need to use KSE for

(This thread has a lot of advice & a fix from JanyBunny further down)

The only straight forward fix I've seen is to load a save before the encounter on the Ebon Hawk, unsubscribe from the mod and delete whatever lightsaber from the mod you have, so if you want to use it, be sure to make a lot of saves beforehand.

It's very frustrating as the mod author hasn't even bothered to try and fix this issue.

What a lot of people are saying. Don't use this mod, or there is a HIGH chance that it will lock you out of your characters and I'm not sure it's possible to unlock them.

**DO NOT GET THIS MOD WITH TSLRCM**

I'm stuck on the Red Eclipse mission, where I could not leave the ship because I was still "in combat".
So I edited the save file and now the Red Eclipse mission is on constant repeat and the game is ruined.

yo this mod completely bugged out my game. can no longer add bao dur to my party, and the only dialogue I can have with him now is to ask for shields.

I've been using the mod for months now, I've had it run alone and with plenty of other mods (including the TSLRCM). Never had a single issue ever. Great mod as far as I'm concerned.
