Designed as a short-range patrol ship or escort ship that can be carried by most large capital ships, the LE-2 is simple, maneuverable, and brings more firepower than fighters and shuttles. The LE-2 'missileboat' model brings two rocket launchers in place of interior turrets, making it a better choice for manned strike missions than the LE-1.
