Description
Case #13: Secrets

The flames roar to life.

Yet another attack.
Oh what did we do?
Send them all back.

A candle base has sent a distress signal for us. The flame's candles say it's the elites again.

[Mission]
Kill the invaders.

[Intel]
The second floor of the elevator is inaccessible; skeletons blocked it off.

[Weapons]
There are numerous weapons in the crates at the front of the base. Ammo should not be a problem.

[Mary]
Johnny's wife, she thirsts for revenge and will be extremely hostile to you. Obviously, she's been infused with liquified ash and tends to revive at the edges of rooms.

[The General]
You might have seen him before. He's a mysterious man with strange, ash-related abilities. Be careful.

--BONUS CHALLENGE--

Clear "Secrets" without turning off lights in any way.

Author's Opinion: I don't think I've ever procrastinated on a level so much. The design process for this level went a little something like this:

It started just a few days after releasing HQ: I already had a design idea in mind and was ready to start. The first thing I did was the room layout but when I finished that, I didn't touch the level for at least a week. Always wanting to work on it but never actually doing so. Eventually, I got to it and finalized all the enemy placement and decoration. And yet again, I procrastinated on working on the level for another few days. Then I had to split it into two parts because it was too laggy, and that took a while so I stopped for a bit again. Finally, I got back to it, finished all the dialogue, finished the icon, details and released all in one day.

So as for the quality, I think it's an average level. It's not hard, it's not easy. Just quite "meh". There's a part in the second stage which I think is pretty fun though, so look forward to that.

Also, keep in mind that there was lots more inprovisation when it comes to enemy placement and room layout compared to my other levels. Either way, I hope you have fun.

I have yet to run it but man thumbs up on the backlog to it. I am recently in love with this game and found the tactical smg with shooting out lights was great in some of the original later levels; props to the challenge/achivement.
