A small ship designed to emulate the look and feel of the ships from the R.E.A.R.M. mod for the classic game HomeWorld 2.

Hydrogen & Ion thrusters- space only, will not work in gravity

Cargo storage and Connector for refuelling and rearming

Features:

Fighter Cockpit for better visability
Concealed thrusters- most thrusters are inside the ship, block damage is turned ON- adequate space is allowed to prevent thrusters damaging near-by blocks.
Light Armour for better speed and maneuverability


Uses one Mod:

Since Gatling guns now seem to shred through Heavy Armour on small ships like it's tin foil, I decided to switch to Light Armour and added one Mod to the ship; Shield Generators by Cython:

There are two large generators inside the Interceptor that provide 20,000 Shield Energy Points- not a huge amount, but enough to protect the ship during dog fights and attack runs; it also recharges quite rapidly so multiple attacks can be made in one 'mission'.

You will need to subscribe to this mod and have it active in the world settings before pasting the ship into your world or trying to weld the blueprint from a projection.



Summary:

Since Gatling guns tear through even heavy armour on small ships like they're made from tin-foil, I've opted for a light armour construction in order to give the Bomber greater speed and manoeuvrability, and using the Shield mod it will have a higher chance of surviving counter attacks or base defences. If you prefer not using mods then I have a Vanilla version of this ship:
