[PHT6] CUP: Burn the Monarch (SP/CO09)

Its tax collecting day and Duke Gannon is demanding more and more money than ever. Those who cannot pay their taxes will be stripped of their land and property. Those who are in debt are under a contract to work in the mines and be stripped of their property until they worked enough to pay off the debt.

Unfortunately, harvest has been bad for us farmers of Mercalilo and with Duke Gannon's demands growing more and more, the situation isn't getting any better in these regions. Almost none of us have enough money to pay our taxes.

Some of us decided to protest against this blasphemy. It didn't end up very well. Duke Gannon had some of his police force and mercenary shot us to death. Anyone who questions his law over us will be immediately shot to death.

We attempted to ask the Church for help in this situation, but they're just as corrupted as Duke Gannon is. Pope Maccom was just loyalist to Duke Gannon who gets access to a harem just like Duke Gannon. The church is just as corrupted as Gannon himself. Things are going too far and we're not going to take it anymore. It is time we resist against Duke Gannon and overthrow this corrupted church. We've smuggled some weapons and it is time to resist.
