Halo Unique Units - Wraith

Description
Adds in the Type-26 Assault Gun Carriage, more commonly known as the Wraith, as a new unique unit available to my previous Covenant Civilization mod, found here.

The Wraith in-game is a ranged support unit that, with high mobility thanks to its hovering ability, coupled with its two-tile attack radius, make it an excellent battlefield support unit to act as an artillery supplement to the Covenant armies of the Information Era. While it is unable to offensively melee attack like the Modern Armor it replaces, it makes up for this inability with its mobility and flexibility. With 90 standard Strength in defensive melee combat, and 80 base Strength when bombarding enemy forces from afar, the Wraith is an excellent front line artillery unit that can advance alongside other Covenant forces. Requires one Uranium, instead of Aluminum.

While this is a ranged combat unit rather than a melee unit, it receives armored unit promotions, such as Drill and Blitz, rather than ranged unit promotions. However, the Blitz promotion can and will allow the Wraith to bombard twice in one turn like Logistics. This has been tested and confirmed.

====Credits====
Usernamehere, for making the mod.
Bungie, for making an amazing game franchise.
The respective creators and owners of each piece of artwork used to create this mod.

====Known bugs====
The loading screen UI will not display the Wraith, as Civilization V is equipped and designed for two unique Civ components, no more, no less.

Alright. Really appreciate the advice.

PS: PS: you can also do the same for the character models you use in your halo factions mod.

PS: if you want to incorporate the animations and vas for the wraith then you will also need to find and add them as well then script it in.

as I said i don't really know the extent but you can look for the models folder everything should be in there textures bump maps nova maps and what not. then incorporate the model into the mod folder write the necessary scripts for it to be used, the only difficult thing to do is to find the folder and then script it in. but other then that its that simple to add an asset but the tricky part is to code it in to the mods code, that i cannot help you with I'm afraid.

How hard would it be to rip models from Halo Wars and put them in Civ V? It can't possibly be that simple.

I think you may of miss understood me i was talking about changing the mod script not CIV 5s' scripts. I may not know much about modding but i do know that you can take assets from another game and transfer them into another game, then adding to the script to activate said animation sfx or action. my brother is doing a coding course and learning to be a game designer and he has already made a couple of games from pre existing assets, i also can back up modeling i was doing a bachelours in animation, which covers 3d moddeling. Though you are lucky to be a modder on steam. There is a wealth of modders on here, for all different games. You just have to find your way to a community modding chat group on steam, and they should be able to help you with more advanced questions.

Sounds difficult. Maybe possible, though.

@usernamehere the anim programing would be on halo wars as well and the sfx files would be there as well. All you would have to do is slightly change the coding for civ 5 so that it activates with a click on civ 5 but everything should be on halo wars, that you can bring over.

I see. It definitely sounds like an option. Animations though would be a tough thing to get working, too.

Well you could use the models from halo wars they should be to scale, and if you want to know how to model i would suggest you ask Musashi he is the best modder for xcom 2 and both civ 5 and xcom 2 aremade by the same company so modding the two should be similiar
