Description
The Dromedary is HDY's first ground-based combat vehicle. Although it is designed for light combat and patrol, the small craft has served as a testbed for the necessary technology to expand that line in the future. It was developed in tandem with the Hammer Rapid Deployment Dropship and is used on many bases on patrol duty and transportation of valuable goods. The craft will be phased out more and more of the active combat role as newer, more advanced vehicles take over the Dromedary's role.

Despite being classed as a LAV, the Dromedary does not feature superior speed; generally this is regarded as a downside of the system. In addition, the forward wheel placement makes moving over rough terrain at high speeds risky. Should the vehicle approach a very uneven area, pilots will be often seen driving in reverse to avoid damage. These drawbacks orifginate in the rushed development of the vehicle. Due to rising demands for a surface capable light combat and peacekeeping vehicle, HDY decided to rush the development to meet the demand.

Despite these drawbacks the vehicle was cleared for production adn serves today as a peacekeeping, patrol and transport craft.

Fully Stock and conveyored up (though impractical for Survival play)!

Hades Driveyards. Warships since 2016.

@Doctor Budgie Additionally, turrets have quite sizeable deadzones. On a side note - is the Hammer released already? Looks really damn nice in the screenshot.

Thanks for the kind words :) I really appreciate it.

@Quartofel The turret placement was a product of necessity, as the small frame made it difficult to incorporate a docking point on the top and a top mounted turret. So I moved them to the sides. This means though that the center of mass is quite high however.

This goes on my "things to check out fully after wheels re-work" list :P
Lateral turret placement is quite unusual for ground vehicles. Nice work.
