Canadian National 28-1 Heavyweight

Description
Features and Information

  • Introduced: 1954
  • Production ends: 1965
  • Top Speed: 180
  • Lifespan: 20 years

Two paint schemes are included:

  • Canadian National Standard 1954
  • Canadian National 1954 "Gatineau" Named Coach

Parlor cars like this would have been used on Canadian National's overnight trains between Toronto and Montreal, as well as some lesser-known named trains, like the Ocean Limited between Montreal and Halifax. Painted in both a general, unnamed variant as well as a named variant "Gatineau". This paint scheme would have replaced the Pullman green scheme that CN had inherited from its predecessor railroads; Canadian Northern in 1918 and Grand Trunk in 1923, only to be replaced again briefly in 1960 by CN's "Wet Noodle" scheme. Heavyweight cars were, by that time, used for commuter trains only and had very little time left before being scrapped.

This may already have been requested but a PRR PA/PB set would be fantastic.
