Description
- This is an IndigoFenix scenario. Expect new mechanics. -

A little extra realism can be a game-changer. When humans naturally adapt to your infection over time, taking it slow isn't an option. Can you still destroy civilization?

All plague types are playable!

This scenario makes heavy use of events to simulate realistic human immune systems. People you infect have a chance of recovering, forcing you to re-infect them...but the longer your plague spends infecting a nation, the stronger that nation's resistance to your plague becomes, forcing you to work fast and regulate your infectivity. It's a whole new way of playing Plague Inc.

Exterminating humanity is practically impossible in this scenario (some people will always be immune). Therefore, you win when civilization has collapsed; i.e. when all nations have descended into anarchy and work on the cure has stopped. Collapsing a government without killing everyone is less random than normal. (The exceptions are the special plagues where you have other means of killing people.)

(It's not as difficult as it sounds - at least in the easier modes - but it might take a few tries to learn the new mechanics.)

Tips:

Mutation chance traits (e.g. Immune Suppression) slows down the immune response. Evolve it early. Darwinist gene also helps. Viruses have it easy.

Immunity rises faster in countries that have a greater percentage of people infected. Don't push for maximum infectivity too soon - spread around the world first. Birds are your best friend.

It's a lot easier to burn out by killing all infectees in this mode. Be careful raising your lethality.

The first few countries you infect will likely be the hardest to destroy. Pay attention to what's going on there - don't let them linger for too long!

Your normal strategies might not work here. Try new ones out and see how they do. Starting in cold, rich Europe? Maybe not as dumb as you think...

Just played this scenario and i have to say, fantastic job! I'm defintely gonna check out your other scenarios. Also if you don't mind me asking, what's this game that you're working on?

this is amazing! i would really like to see the immune suppression symptom counteract the other stuff. i could imagine this would be amazing in the real plaque inc especially because it could punish players for not evolving even slightly severeity until the world is infected. and it would acctually make the parasite even more viable because it would be an multicellular being that isnt really affected by the immune system all too much inside its host. i really like this one!
