DFC Dauntless (Modded)

The Dauntless class Heavy Security Frigate was designed to secure critical instalations by providing an excess of brute force in a relativly small package. lacking the volume and power generation of a cruiser, it instead relys on dense armor for defense, although it still has a light shield to deal with meteor strikes.

While packing heavy in anti-capital weapons, the Dauntless only has two ball turrets for defense against fighters, and must rely on other craft like the Talon Corvette for this.

Although its high density armor causes it to weigh too much for a planetary gravety well, the Dauntless can still handle moons, allowing it to directly support outposts in such an enviornment.

Unable to pack a sufficient jump system into its hull, the Dauntless can only really traverse the distance between a planet and its moon, and must rely on an external FTL tug for longer distances.

Notes: Hull configuration based on Captain Jack's RWI Defender frigate, and once again, the interior is "Meh" to "Ugly" but she flys, shoots, and the outside looks okay, so I'm happy.
