Description
I was disappointed by the lack of starships from the Kelvin Timeline, so I made this one to make up for it!
Hello again, friends. This time I bring you the Ionia Class Light Cruiser, a single nacelle scout/recon vessel that is built for high speed chases as well as stealth. She comes with three cameras mounted on the forewardmost point of the saucer for ranged scouting, as well as a single optimized nacelle for quick getaways. With only six decks, all of which found in the saucer, this is my smallest trek build yet! Of course, that doesn't limit her firepower! A good recon vessel always needs a way to defend itself, and so this vessel has nearly all the firepower of an Athens Class. The most important feature, I think, is the parachute rack. That's what I'm calling the car-antenna looking offshoot on the back of the saucer- which happens to be fillled with deploy-ready parachutes conveyored up to the entire vessel storage system. The parachutes, though themselves unable to slow an emergency planetary landing, greatly increase the chance that the saucer will land like a pancake, saving more of the crew and the valuable reactors, gyros, and hidden thrusters. In case you're wondering why this works as it does, the saucer is meant to enter an atmosphere in reverse, so that the rear impacts the ground first. The short neck's interior is completely decorative, as the nacelle has no interior- this means the separation can be done without the bridge, as there are no hull ties or seals necessary.

Settings
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name and Registry
-Beacons & Antennas with customizable names.
-Corner LCD in Bridge and USS and NCC labels in searchmenu can be customized.

Separation
-Merge Blocks: Use the conn or any control panel to enter the ship's menu and depower these. This is the sole and obviously necessary step. Note that in emergencies you can grind these from through the Maintenance Access Door on Deck 4, but be warned they are in a vacuum. Effects are immediate so be sure you have enough saucer-board thrusters to maintain lift in a planet's atmosphee before disconnecting.

Lights
-Bussard Collector Lighting: The blue glow inside the bussard is controlled by these!
-Dorsal & Ventral: Controls the white lighting on the exterior.
-Reactor Core: Controls the pale green lighting found in the reactor room.
-Red Alert: Very obviosuly, this toggles the red alert lights. Best used with all other lights off.
-Saucer: Controls interior lighting in the primary hull.
-Locator Lights: The Red and Green blinking lights on the exterior on the ship. If you edit them at all, they'll switch to one color.
-Impulse Vents: Controls the red spotlights filling in for impulse vents. Slick new styling on the edges makes them look nice and spicy.
-Lens Flares: I plan on having these on every ST build, so don't ask for me to remove them. (Disclaimer: Do NOT activate if prone to strokes or sensitive to bright flashes) What JJverse starship wouldn't be complete without obnoxious, eye-level strobe lights blinding you at every turn?

General Groupings
-Deck 1-6 Tags: These let you know which deck you're on inside the ship, because I know how confusing it gets when you don't know your way around.
-Reactor Core: All the ship's reactors grouped together in the menu for a pirate's convenience.
-Auxiliary Power: Batteries. Actually good to keep these going in creative mode.
-Warp Coil: All the jump drives bundles up in one for making sure you didn't set the wrong one with your coordinates. Still need to use a single jump drive to actually jump.
-Weapons Systems: Only-missile-turret defense system. I figured it fit the Kelvin Timeline's "Pulse Phasers" more.

Extra Notes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I left the ship's hull blank for two reasons.
A) It looks cool like that, don't you agree?
B) I want you to fill it in yourself along with the antenna, and leaving it white would save you the trouble of having to erase any numbers I would've put down!

Ok, well, cant wait!

(I have no clue what that is, but If it's a good looking ship, then It works for me!)

(You Know, you can put antenas inside of the ships, hidden be hind walls, that sort of thing, just a though!)

@Captain Starwalker No accident. I suck at making circles and rings in SE, can't do it for the life of me. I used T7's saucer as a base, not only because it has an awesome curvature but because it makes sense to have ships from the same fleet look similar! Also, check the last comment (march 2017) on that very same post you provided a link to! No reason for slander or passive aggressiveness, dude!
@LeapedSiren97 That too!

Looks great! I like that it looks similar to the U.S.S Kelvin.
