MaxRavenclaw's 2017 Vanilla FOTS Unit Stats Fixes (Reload animations and times)

Description
UPDATE: I've remade this from scratch, this time with a proper change log. New version can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3409314292

Certain units in game use muzzle-loaders but instead have the breech-loader reload animation and the other way around. This fixes that.

In particular, I've changed the animations for the following units: Elite_Kihetai, Elite_Kihetai_MP, Imperial_Infantry, Imperial_Infantry_MP, Republican_Infantry, Shogunate_Infantry, and Shogunate_Infantry_MP.

@DvamaintisLoyaltotheImperium, as of 2025 I can't find any model for the Springfield 1865 in the game files. There are literally only 4 modern rifles modeled in the game: the Spencer, the Snider-Enfield, the Enfield Pattern 1861 Musketoon, and the Chassepot Modele 1866.

Does this improve reload times?

Love the concept of this mod!! Already have no problem with the models or guns, just very unfortunate that it doesn't seem to be working for me right now, any idea how this can be fixed? or Possible alternative mods I can use to have a similar effect on the breech loading animations? Have no idea even how to mod but I'd do it myself if I was better at coding :(

Was the game patched? I don't remember seeing it in the game files, and they clearly have a Enfield Pattern 1861 Musketoon in that picture which is taken from Vanilla FOTS. What's the id of the Springfield? This is odd. I'm tempted to install FOTS again just to check if what you say is true.

there is a model for the Springfield 1865. the US Marines use it.....

IRL, sure, but the in-game model uses Musketoons. Just look at the image for my mod. That's an Enfield Pattern 1861 Musketoon. I don't think there's a model for the Springfield 1865 in Shogun 2.

No, those US Marines aren't using Musketoons. The Boshin war was set in 1868, by that time the Union Military was done with using Muskets, These marines would be using Springfield 1865's

No, I changed the animation of units which have muzzle loaded weapons on their models but were configured to use the breech loader animation to use the muzzle loader animation. Same for breech loaders who used the muzzle loader animation.

IIRC, this included the US Marines, who have Enfield Pattern 1861 Musketoons in-game but the animation they used was that of breech-loaders, so I fixed that but improved their stats to make them at least accurate even if their rate of fire decreased.

this doesn't make sense

you've changed the animations of breech loaders so that they'll muzzle loaders????

those units were meant to fire breech loaders. they don't use muskets

Is this compatible with the bayonet mod?
