Baern's innovative mining modules are not meant to be stand-alone vehicles. They are meant to be attached to Mining Carriages. The Carriage provides locomotion, protection, or other necessities that these vessels cannot provide.

As the images above illustrate – On a flat surface the module can be maneuvered by aligning it and backing up while elevating until the top and rear are flush. This can be made easier by using “V” and “alt” to adjust view angles. With the MMOD docked, the engines can be turned off or removed along with the hover engines. The larger filler blocks of the Carriage can also be added for protection (pictured in yellow above). Finally they can be textured and painted to match.

(note this vessel has undergone some design changes as I have experienced problems trying to dock horizontally rather than vertically. Let me know if you experience the same problems and I will work on a vertical docking version as well)
