One of the most popular wrestlers of the era as one half of the revolutionary Rock and Roll Express, Ricky Morton may not have been a singles star, but with the Express, he was undeniable.

Morton's role in the team was to absorb damage and outlast both opponents until he managed to make the "hot tag" to Gibson, who now apppeared fresh and energetic, ready to clean house.

While the Express were monumentally successful in the tag division, Morton would also end up feuding with none other than the NWA World Heavyweight champion Ric Flair in 1986, holding his own even in defeat.
