Commands note:
The Reserchers in -classified location- have developed upon the abstract idea of a "submersible battlecruiser" after a few captains joked about the SS being cowardly having submersed cannons on a few captured submarines. There was also an experimental anti-munitions cannon (to be used on surface ships) that was modified for underwater use against torpedoes and mines. This developed into the DU-527 "dreadsub" (vortex as it can rotate 360 degrees in place) and its effectiveness as a defense, deterrent, and assasin craft was beyond expectation for it could not be destroyed easily using traditional methods. The M version is a heavily cut-down version of the origional as to not have it used against the Republic with the same strength as the origional (as seen by the un-colored plugs).
