Timaru International Raceway

Description
Timaru International Raceway - Levels Circuit is a circuit in the heart of the South Island of New Zealand. It is a regular event on any National series calendar, and also plays host to a great amount of club level racing.

This track was originally created in rFactor 1 by Daniel Greenwood - Converted to rFactor 2 by Daniel Huia and Matthew Pluck. Also with help with technical issues from Senormen from Senormen Tracks, and the community at www.kiwisimracing.net.nz

As this is our first conversion over to rFactor 2 the track isn't 100% complete and is therefore still a 'beta'. Please let us know of any issues or suggestions with the circuit.

Known things missing to be implemented in future:
- Graphical detail of real road
- Wet weather/rain surface on racing surface (Shiny rain/puddles etc)
- Further implementation of the DX11 features and texture optimization

Credit + Thanks go out to Daniel Greenwood and his team/helpers who created the track for rFactor 1 and granted us permission to bring over his work to rFactor 2.

Hi there,

Track is great. Can you contact me in order to discuss about your permission to bring this one on AC as well? Thanks

Absolutly Amzaing, so cool to see my local track in RF2, especially with such close detail to the real track, I've been around the track a few times in a lot of different cars (As a passenger) and everything looks spot on.

Thanks for the feedback goffred. I will look into the issue and determine if its the mod or the track causing the issue.

To be honest I only tested everything on high/full, so never actually tested the low/medium settings!

OK. I think the floating part is quite simply a legacy of turning down the shadows to low or off to get the GT3's to run OK. If I put shadows to at least med it is OK.

The under the track thing is the rear diffuser on the USF2000. On the car ahead when you are following close. The left hander onto the back straight and the first bumpier part of the straight and the left hander at the end of the straight. The right hand side of the diffuser dips into the ground? Or at least that's what it looks like with shadows set to low. It might simply be a LOD thing? So it mightn't even be the track at all? When I turn the shadows to med its very hard to notice.

I havent run the USF2000's as much as the GT3's lately, but I guessed that this track would be great with them. And it is! I'm having a heap of fun. Cheers for that. NZ is bleesed with some good tracks.

Thanks for the feedback goffred. Are you able to point us towards any particular corners or sections of the circuit this happens in? Thanks

Nice looking track. Plenty of fun in USF2000! Constructive feedback is that the cars "float" in some places? and are under the road in others. Like the road texture isnt quite the "floor". The road itself looks very nice

Thank you so much for this, amazing to see NZ tracks coming out. Hopefully Hampton Downs will relax their license so it can be released. Looking forward to Manfield :)
