Description
The Tenth part of the Lionheart Heroes series featuring the killer for hire, the Bounty Hunter. Below are my changes with vanilla in parenthesis.

Version 1.0

• Collect Bounty Bonus Dmg Vs Marked rescaled to 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 100% (90% at all levels)

• Mark for Death PROT debuff increased to -20%, -22%, -24%, -27%, -30% (-10%, -12.5%, -15%, -17.5%, -20%) Now ignores, removes, and prevents Guard for two turns.

• Finish Him Stun Killer rescaled to 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%, 60% (25%, 33%, 40%, 50%, 60%)

• Caltrops reworked. Launch 321 (432) Target ~34 (34) Acc 90, 95, 100, 105, 110 (same) Dmg -90% (same) Crit 2, 2, 3, 4, 4 (10, 10, 11, 12, 12) Bleeds 1/3, 1/3, 2/3, 2/3, 3/3 (2/3, 2/3, 3/3, 3/3, 4/3) Debuffs Acc by 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 (8-12) Debuffs Dodge by 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 (debuffed Speed by 4-8)

Explanation: Honestly considered buffing his higher-level Weapon Damage when I looked at Hellion and Shieldbreaker's stats but he should be fine as is. Rescaled his Marked Dmg Bonus because 90% at early levels and max level are both ridiculous. Now he starts better than other heroes but ends equal to them. Marked for Death sucked... seriously just a worse vanilla Whistle. Now it is a strong PROT and Guard breaker letting you unguard squishies or debuff the tank protecting them, whichever is more useful at the time. Buffed Finish Him's Stun Killer at early levels. Caltrops reworked to target both backrow targets. Bleed and Crit lowered to balance this. New debuffs to better match my current/planned changes on other heroes. Considered adding a Speed Debuff and having all three debuffs only apply while they're in position 3 and 4, but it seemed too gimimcky despite the added flavor. As a side note I also considered adding some kind of debuff to Come Hither, possibly Speed or Dodge if I changed Caltrop's Dodge to Speed. Maybe even a small Bleed. Opinions on this would also be welcome.

The dirty-deed-doing headhunter got some added utility and buffs to weaker skills like Mark for Death. When considering his changes I looked at the othe Mark heroes and high damage heroes. With my changes to Arbalest and Houndmaster all their skills mesh even better. To finish off the standard Mark team i am determined to tackle the Occultist next; he will receive several changes of course and a drastic reworking of a skill I honestly never used on him (if I can figure out how to properly do it that is). In the explanation you can see there are several things about the Bounty Hunter I'm still not 100% on, so pay attention for potential updates and tell me your opinions below. Thank you for trying my mods; I aim to make the game as enjoyable as possible to myself and hopefully others.

You nailed it with the Finish Him buff, but the Caltrop change just ruined the whole thing. Backrow Bount Hunter is now useless, and caltrops don't bleed enough!

Thinking of replacing come hither's animation with hook n slice and give it a light bleed. Also want to replace caltrops with something else-a better aoe type attack via reusing his bomb animation, or some kind of self utility status heal or buff. Open to suggestions and opinions!

Update on the originalally implemented "Finisher" effct: Unfortunately after 4 seperate attempts the hpbelow rule seems always reliant on the performer's HP, not the target's HP like intended. No matter how I think to alter the effect's rules with skill_instant, swap_source_and_target, .queue, etc. nothing changes that the hpbelow rule is strictly dependent on the Bounty Hunter's health. The possibility of me getting it functioning as I wish looks slim, so sorry again but this will go on the backburner while I focus on trying new things with the Occultist.

As one final note for now you may notice the BH in the thumbnail has a unique skin. This is the Brigand bounty hunter skin by VgutZick and can be found on Nexus Mods. Here's a link because i truly love this skin https://www.nexusmods.com/darkestdungeon/mods/433/?

As a side note for anyone unaware O'Nightmare! is a great modder imo and I suggest checking out their stuff. To be honest I reference several of them for formatting and ideas myself so thanks for the great work! But back to this particular mod again I appologize for my haste and mistake, the dysfunctional effect has been removed for now but i'll keep trying to reimplement it correctly.

Yeah I must've been more tired than i realized last night. It definately is applying when the BH is below half HP, not the target as intended. Seems skill_instant can only work if the effect targets the performer so my next attempt just now setting it as a damage_received_percent when hpbelow .50 debuff to the target didn't work, crashed the game. Seems I jumped the gun. I'll put out an update without that effect and test it over some more, see if i can get it working correctly. Sorry everyone for the mishap.

Are you sure "Finish Him Stun Killer" works as intended? For me it increases damage based on BH's hp, not on target's for some reason.
