And well, i THINK, you can add custom music to l4d 1 campaings, i downloaded a mod that adds RE songs to all vanilla campaings when you are in the safehouse, so maybe it would work with the horde songs?
May i suggest you some songs?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ltt2pELY34&list=PL118AD9ADA54875D6 this would be nice when you exit the safe house, the quiet creepy part of the song at the start or after the tense part.

Here are all the ost of the 2 movies: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0CE8E032CF01C312 and http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL118AD9ADA54875D6
The track with Jim in London that builds up to that awesome crescendo finalé is by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and I think I fit it in as one of the "Finalé Escape Vehicle" tracks - if the L4D1 maps allowed all the custom music to work in them, it's also the one you'd hear at the end of No Mercy as you run through a horde of zombies for the chopper. I forget which one of the L4D2 campaigns has it when you can escape, but I wanted that "Oh shit, we need to go now!" feeling of tension the track brings to the very end of your campaign.
