Description
The approach taken by the August Houses when it comes to the treatment of illnesses, maladies and injuries is reflective of the incredible weath and privilege that they hold. In addition to the standard alchemical pharmacopeia used by apothecaries throughout the city, each House has its own proprietary compendium of elixirs and cures -- compiled over time through the collective effort of their alchemists and physicians -- many of which utilize expensive or esoteric ingredients that common folk could never dream of obtaining.

But not all of the concoctions are quite so costly or exotic. A few of these have started being circulated by word of mouth -- it is believed they had been leaked by those with access to the inner circles in order to help save loved ones who were ill. Their use has started to spread among the recently emerging upper-middle strata of society, who are increasingly able to afford them.

One of the recurring element in some of these cures is Silver -- revered for its purity and healing, and a more affordable alternative compared to Gold or other rare ingredients. In moments of need, families have been known to sacrifice their prized jewelry or silverware in order to obtain a cure that requires Silver.

Here are some of these cures.
