[Fighter Blueprint] Bentusi Super Acolyte [Homeworld: Cataclysm]

Description
The mysterious race of traders known as the Bentusi were not always peaceful by nature - there was a time, thousands of years prior to the Homeworld War, when they possessed the mightiest fleet in the entire galaxy. Though little is known about the full capabilities of the ancient Bentusi warships, this rarely-deployed fighter offers a glimpse into the true power of Bentusi technology.

As it appeared to be the original Bentusi craft from which the schematics of the Acolyte fighter were derived, Kiith Somtaaw dubbed it the "Super Acolyte." Boasting all of the features that made the Somtaaw Acolyte so successful, the Super Acolyte also showcased Bentusi mastery over ion cannon technology. While the Hiigarans and Taiidan had to build entire frigates to wield a single ion cannon, the Bentusi managed to fit two of them onto a fighter chassis. The result was a nimble, well-armored fighter that packed most of the firepower of a destroyer. This Bentusi strike craft was arguably the single most powerful fighter-class vessel ever encountered by Hiigaran forces.

Perhaps in an effort to keep their true capabilities secret, Bentusi trade ships only ever deployed Super Acolytes in times of the most dire need. Even when attacked directly, trade ships would usually respond only with their own ion cannons rather than revealing their Super Acolytes. Kiith Somtaaw managed to find themselves on the recieving end of the Super Acolyte's ion cannons when they interfered with a Bentusi fleet attempting to flee the galaxy during the Beast War. Luckily for all of Hiigara, Somtaaw Fleet Command managed to talk them down and secure their aid. Later on, at the climax of the Beast War, the Bentusi made good on their promise to aid Kiith Somtaaw by allowing the Kuun-Lan to produce a limited quantity of Super Acolytes for use against the Naggarok. The searing yellow ion cannons of Somtaaw-piloted Super Acolytes played an important part in turning the tide of battle against the Beast in Kiith Somtaaw's hour of need.

This build of the Bentusi Super Acolyte is based on its apearance in Homeworld: Cataclysm. It is exactly 200 blocks. I decided to only do the open-wing version of the Super Acolyte, as unlike the Acolyte's mass drivers, the Super Acolyte's ion cannons are entirely concealed when the wings are closed, making it unable to fire at all in that configuration.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.

Suggested weapons: Laser (bonus points if it's a double laser)

I always thought it was funny that this little baby ghost thing was the most powerful fighter in the game. I think I nailed the engine section at least.
