Description
Bs Volunteer Fire Station by HGscMENTOR is Very cheap to plop and maintain. This was created for my islands game, but you are all welcome to use it in any way you like.

Just as we have to do out here in the country where I live, the neighborhood staffs the firestation with volunteers who both maintain and drive the trucks. The costs of maintenance for the trucks comes from funds that come from bakeoffs, BBQ bashes, donations, etc. So there is little or no cost to the city other than the initial "donation" to get it started.

If you'd like to visit the gamesave this was created for, it is Bs Tropical Waters - Easy Mode found at :

I use the move-it mod to attach the bay door to the building in-game. I'd never actually tried using it in the editor to see if it stays in-game.

Sounds good.....do you use the "move-it" mod in the asset editor so the bay door you put there stays on your newly changed asset when you pull it up to put someplace else......or is this just something you do in-game? Curious, because it might help me make better assets if it's done in the asset editor.

I understand, I downloaded Blender too and am completely worthless with it. What I did was use an asset someone else created, it's a fire station and all it is is a bay door. I just used the 'move it' mod to attach the bay door to the indentations on the front of the building and..........voila, problem solved.

My whole purpose in creating the city service buildings was to make them cheaper to plop and waaaayyyyy cheaper to maintain.....but it would be fun to be able to use one that looks better than this but has the cheaper costs that I incorporated. I'm up for using anyone else's assets that offer that.

Hi Kombat -- I'd love to do that - wanted to add a few things when I made it, but I don't know how - you see, I'm a newbee who only knows how to "repurpose" vanilla buildings. You have the right idea, though -- I really wish I could. my skills just don't go that far. I tried to learn a program called Blender that someone said would help me do these things, but it was a complete bust ... not the program, just my abilities. If you can do that sort of thing, it would be great if you would pull my fire station to your computer and "play" with it and then share it and let me know on these comments where I can find it...then I can start using that one.

I like the building. Would it be possible to add a garage door texture to the two bay door indentations on either side of the front of the building?
