A Reaper wakes up in a place where things have | discern which piece is which, and many of them have | to the brim with undead, both right-side-up and upside- | every slice of terrain. Things are getting colder and colder | -down, and like every mind-addling time before, the Reaper | calls out to the voices who speak to him regularly, | film reel taped together at the ends. He can't quite | been slammed together haphazardly, leaving holes and jagged edges between | begun to deteriorate and jumble themselves around, like strips of | but gets no response. This insane architecture is again filled | within him, within his empty body-- his stolen body. He | must fight his way through, cold and exhausted or not.

Notes:

I'm extremely happy with this one. It has a distinctive aesthetic, a premise that lent itself to some REALLY interesting level design opportunities, and some of the most interesting writing yet. I really, really encourage anyone who hasn't yet gone looking for any of the cassettes to do so now, starting with Hanged Man, because the cassette in this one is especially neat.

Speaking of the cassette: it's a little bit hidden, but you don't need tons of cleverness to get it, just a lot of patience. I think you'll see what I mean.

It's worth it. There's something very important in this cassette, something that disrupts the story at large-- but for now, even Ibzan can't see it.

In terms of playing this level myself, well... I got a little mad at it. There were some bugs with the ending cutscene, and I had to continue beating the whole stage to try and troubleshoot. God this level is long! I am happy with it, sure, but having to beat it ten times (and choking at the end routinely) has made me extremely salty.
