Description
Solar Panels are tricky because the position of the sun does not matter. Light comes from a static point however the sun can be in different positions for two independant players standing next to each other. So do not trust the sun. Shadows are the only true way to align solar panels.

This tool helps players find the "True point of light" in space, while explaining the differnt orientations of Solar Panels. Simply hold down O then use the direcitional arrows on the key board to rotate in place. When the shadow is on the white bar you are there. Simply follow the LCD instructions for proper base alignment.

Please give this tool a thumbs up.

There is a lot that the Devs could do to improve the game. Unfortunately we limited to their interests. Fixing bugs and creating quality of life features is boring and tedious. Devs are just like us, they want to create something fun and new, not grind hours away fixing what is not working optimally. As such we are forced to adapt.

Dont get me wrong, It would be nice if the publishers used some of the money they made from us to hire more Devs, but that is not the status of the industry. Every Dev they hire means less money in their pocket, regardless of how much money they could earn if the game was profoundly better. I would love to see drastic improvements in the game, but after years I feel this is the best we are going to get.

i would like to see a mod that gives better solar panels or maybe ones that collect max value 24/7 but as a lower value it could be called like "infrared panel" or something idk then we wouldnt need to fight to find that giant glowing orb in the sky, also maybe a lil something something for solar CV <3

I agree. You would think that it would not be that difficult to possiton the sun at the source of light. We are finding that the same is true on planets. I have not devised a tool that works in this case. but we are working on it.

sucks that we need this. But panel placement is a pita. Thumbs up for figuring it out. I'm still confused.
