A former hard hitting NFL player and legit Choctaw-Chickasaw Native who often wore a feathered headdress into the ring, Wahoo McDaniel made a mark on the wrestling world as one of the toughest legit athletes to step into the ring.

McDaniel engaged in memorable feuds with Superstar Graham, traded thunderous chops with Ric Flair and Johnny Valentine and would feud with Valentine's son, Greg the Hammer, a feud in which the junior Valentine would break his opponent's leg in a match and taunted him afterwards with a shirt proclaiming "I Broke Wahoo's Leg." McDaniel would return to defeat Greg Valentine for the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight title, however.
