Description
Hydra-X (CV) - (7.5 ready)

*Warning! Advanced ZeroG vessel ahead! You will need both Hydra-X1 and Hydra-X2 Blueprints to use this ship!*
**Reccommend loading in Creative Mode to get the feel for how these ships dock together**

An all purpose solo/survival bounty hunter ship. The idea is simple build a vessel that has all the best qualites of an SV and combine them with a CV. Hydra-X seamlessly mixes these vessels together allowing for complete pressurized interior spaces in a straight to the point design setup.

Hydra-X is a Advanced vessel. It will test your patience. You will get frustrated. But Hydra-X is meant for a type of person that wants something different, something unique. Here is a list of all the devices that you will have access too when using Hydra-X:

3x Oxygen Stations
1x Medic Station
1x Clone Chamber
2x Minigun Turret
4x Pulse Laser
1x Drill Turret
1x Food Processer
3x CV Cargo Boxes
2x CV Ammo Boxes
1x CV Repair Bay
1X CV Warp Core
1x CV Warp Tank
2x CV Harvester Box
1x Repair Station
1x Medical Scanner #1
1x Medical Scanner #3
1x Medical Scanner #4
3x Armor Locker
1x SV Warp Core
1x SV Warp Tank
6x SV Fridges
18x SV Cargo Boxes
4x SV Constructors
1x Shower
1x Bunkbed
1x Space Toilet
1x One Block Expansion slot (transporter if needed)

There you have it Hydra-X has a large variety of components. While not everything was fitted onboard Hydra-X we did try to get as much as possible given Hydra's size. We have also equipped Hydra-S with automatic ramp and airlock access. This was achieved using motion sensor technology. Landing gear has not been install and honestly until the landing gears are able to be retracted you won't always see them equipped on a ZeroG Capital Ship.

Now ZeroG has used modular style ships in the past but not to this extreme. Docking Hydra-X1 and Hydra-X2 will require patience! Also make sure you have a repair tool handy as you are most likely going to need it. I have included some guide lines located on the hulls of both Hydra-X1 and Hydra-X2. There are 2 ways to dock these ships together. Spawing them separetely and you will have to take it slow and contstantly use 3rd person view to stay lined up. Slowly working both ships together. You will need to be careful as sometimes both ship will "stick" to each other. If this happens I have found getting into the helm of the CV and lightly "wiggle" with the mouse to free them up.

I get it this is very hard to explain but once you are able to get it to slide together it will make much more sense. This is why I recommend loading into a new Creative world to test the fitment.

There is another possibly easier way. In creative mode do the following:

1: Push F2 to bring up the Hydra-X1 Blueprint
2: Spawn Hydra-X1 in and do not move your mouse!
3: Right after spawing in Hydra-X1 and without moving your mouse press F2 again
4: Now lets spawn in Hydra-X2, Remember do not move the mouse!
5: Spawn in Hydra-X2
6: If done correctly and you didn't move the blueprints should have been in the correct areas that they won't interfer.
7: Lastly you'll need to hop into the SV and make sure to have it "dock" itself to the CV as it doesn't spawn in docked.

There you go most of the time I have been successful in this method. Somtimes it glitchs and gets wonky but that is usually due to moving the mouse just a tad to mess up the alignment.

All I have to say is Good Luck! If you are successful in docking Hydra-X let me know down in the comments what you think of it!

A bit of backstory of the road to Hydra-X:
So for about the last year I have been struggling to make my Hydra ship. I wanted it to be a bounty hunter style ship. Based around just a single person occupying this vessel. I set off to build it as an SV but I scrapped it do to not having warp abilities for SV's (yet). So I set off to build Hydra as a CV. Seemed good but found that it felt to bulky and not really the style I was going for. Then warp cores came for SV's and at last I thought I found the solution! Sadly I was again not happy with the outcome.

So Hydra sat on the shelf always in the back of my mind. Hydra was quickly becoming that dream I would not achieve.

But then one night, december 2017, I was chatting with Kieve . He had mentioned about his synthesis idea and after that settled in, I immediately thought of Hydra once again! I hopped into my personal Huntress-X SV and rushed off to the ZeroG shipyards. I headed towards the hanger and forgot that I had greenlite the Cerberus-X to docked in the shipyards for revision and refitting. I flagged down some maintenance personal to move Cerberus-X out and stay out of my way!

The following days Hydra consumed every waking moment I had. @Kieve single handedly gave me just enough inspiration to cause me to stay up late and lose sleep over trying to complete the ship that has eluded me for about a year.

So I worked day and night creating this ship. Combining the advantages not only in devices but in armor from the CV. The SV provides some much needed detail that CV's are just unable to achieve. I love how the SV can create much more detail in the same area that your character occupies. O2 stations are much easier to work with on the SV's that what they are for the CV's.

Of all the quirks with Hydra I would have to say trying to wrap my head around getting o2 to be present in both the CV and SV sections of the ship. Using force fields really helped in this regard. Also docking the SV to the CV is a tedious task that only gets easy the more you do it. I have so much fun mashing much stuff in small spaces so this was a joy to be working on. Most of the work has been completed but I have a few areas still left to tweak and tune.

Hydra is not a perfect ship. It will not win awards or be the most popular around. But you know what I don't care! I have really built this ship for me and I can say that this is a ship I will find myself using in my survival world! Or it could blow up and Ill go back to using my Huntress-X like I always do!

Anyways Here is Hydra-X!

Again thanks to Kieve for the inspriation! Be sure to stop by and say hi to him!

While flying the CV trying to connect it to the X2, it gets completely stuck and unmovable. "There is a not docked ship in your ship. Flying not possible" I've tried multiple times in creative, but once this message pops up, there's no way I can sort it out.

@Nods I had so much fun building the Hydra-X! I would love to revisit this at some point but I do not have it on my plate at this time.

Awesome work!

Getting these two to mate together correctly was a challange, but after hearing the docking tone and getting out to see it as a whole was worth it. I like both the concept and the aesthetics, and will be building this in my survival game.
Hope you keep innovating and pushing the limit on new designs, been a fan since the old Crowe was hot off the assembly line and will continue shopping at ZeroG!

@TrixX I am glad you tried out Hydra! Ya game wise I don't know if it is very practical. Maybe in the future.

Also from time to time I have gotten fps issues using Hydra-X most of the time turning the power off of the sv does the trick for me. Lowering graphics settings as well seem to help. I have even restarted the game to clear it up.

Thanks for stopping by!
