British Gated Level Crossing

Description
British Gated Level Crossing, for single or double track and roads with up to 4 lanes total.

Available: Always
Max Speed: 124mph (200 kph)

The version with Side Gates is intended for streets with pedestrians.

The road should at close to a 90° angle to look best. Diagonals or more tracks or lanes will work but look very strange.

(If you're as easily confused as me; to change the crossing type, you have to click on the existing crossing object to open the selection dialog.)

I think I understand how this mod works but when I click on an existing level crossing it doesn't seem to come up as an option. Does it only work on new maps?

That's great that you are trying. I'm sure it will be possible in the future and well worth waiting for. For me I am loving TF2 but it will only get better as has not bee out long compared to all the modding done for TF1. I also prefer the industry chains that work more easily and keep working unlike in TF1 so for me along with the obvious graffics upgrade TF2 is really great. Hopefully the better modders will spend more time on the maps to take advantage of the superior graffics over TF1 which by the way I really love too. My most lpayed game on steam by hundreds of hours but TF2 clocking the hours up too as already my 3rd most played game and will pass Train fever (where it all started !) in a couple of months ! I also hope all the British locomotives in TF1 will find their way to TF2, fingers crossed. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly I'm finding TP2 a bit of a disappointment. :steamsad:

@Norfolk_Chris - I did most of the work for porting them early on, but then found I couldn't get it to show in the game. I believe there is currently a limitation of the game that doesn't allow extra crossings to be added (or the method has not been documented). This is why all the current crossings on the TpF2 Workshop only replace or modify the game's own 3 crossings. Once this is sorted by the developers I should be able to add all these crossings.

I miss this too on TP2. :steamsad:

Hi JK, Use this mod alot in my British maps on TF1. Will you be doing one / same for TF2 please ?
Thanks

@Jack - Thanks. But I don't normally do modern stuff and I have a lot of other stuff I want to mod, so it's unlikely I'm afraid.

@JK I absolutely love this mod, it completely fits with a 1900-1950 time frame. If you’re still making mods, would it be possible to make a version of UK barrier crossings like this one [images.app.goo.gl]? When they open, the white barriers hanging down fold inwards like this [images.app.goo.gl]. It would make modern times look much more authentic for UK folks like myself :steamhappy:

@Peter 1949 - You have to click on the existing crossing object to open the selection dialog. There should then be icons of these crossings available to select.
